About The Site
Welcome to aRoadTrip.net!!
The site was born out of my childhood dream of driving across the United States.
After turning 40, I decided it was time to make my dream into a reality.
The reasoning behind this site is two-fold. Firstly, I wanted to have somewhere I could share my thoughts and ideas with family and friends. And eventually share my experiences along this exciting road trip adventure. I plan on keeping a travel diary and updating this blog as I go along the trip.
Secondly, I wanted to offer a medium for other adventurers (yes, thats you) to share their thoughts and experiences on road trips they might have taken or would like to take.
This site will include the following:
- Discussion Forum
For discussing things like accommodation, car hire, events, restaurants, routes, safety, etc, etc.
- Photograph Gallery
A place to upload and share your favourite travel photographs.
- Purchase books, maps, etc
- General travel information, travel vouchers/coupons, tips, tricks, etc, etc
For starters, this site will include both the United States and the United Kingdom. At a later stage, I plan on including Australia, Europe, etc.
